Groesbeck Parham, MD, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology in our UNC Division of Global Women’s Health, will be a featured speaker at this year’s Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer, presenting his talk, “The creative disruption of the cervical cancer prevention status quo in an African nation: Lessons in international leadership.”

Parham is also Director of the African Center of Excellence for Women’s Cancer Control in Lusaka, Zambia, where he lives and works.

The meeting, which celebrates 50 years of SGO, will be in Honolulu, Hawaii, March 16 through 19, 2019. Parham’s talk will be March 16 at 10:15 a.m. Read the full schedule.

Since 1969, women’s health care professionals have convened at SGO’s Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer to discuss the latest science in the field, receive educational programming, and to network.
