The practice will offer expert and compassionate maternal-fetal medicine care in a location convenient for many Orange, Durham and Alamance county patients.

UNC OB-GYN’s Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine is opening a new location for maternal-fetal medicine clinical care less than one mile from our General Obstetrics and Gynecology and Midwifery clinics at UNC Weaver Crossing in Chapel Hill.
Located off Weaver Dairy Road in Chapel Hill, the new clinic is near Exit 266 on I-40. The practice will offer the full scope of expert and compassionate maternal-fetal medicine care to which UNC MFM patients have become accustom in a location convenient for many Orange, Durham and Alamance county patients.
UNC MFM at Vilcom Center is located at 55 Vilcom Center Drive and began seeing patients for ultrasound scans on April 17. MFM consultations and prenatal care will begin May 1, and genetic counseling will begin at the practice May 29.
The telephone number to schedule an appointment is 984-215-5000.
“Our maternal-fetal medicine team is delighted to be able to offer this convenient care location for our patients,” said Dr. M. Kathryn Menard, chief of the division and Vice Chair for Obstetrics at UNC.
“The option of outpatient services in the community, rather than hospital setting, has been extremely well received by our patients. As we strive to make MFM care accessible throughout North Carolina, UNC MFM now has offices in Raleigh, Moore County and Chapel Hill, with the option of access for rural practices via telemedicine.”
Our maternal-fetal medicine experts at UNC OB-GYN offer expert obstetrical care for women with complex or high-risk pregnancies, including pregnancies that are complicated by maternal disease, such as diabetes or hypertension, or a problem with the fetus, such as congenital abnormalities.
This Chapel Hill location is the fourth UNC MFM clinic. Other sites are at the Women’s Clinic at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, UNC Rex in Raleigh and FirstHealth in Pinehurst.
