OB\/GYN Fellowship designed to equip obstetrician-gynecologists with the advanced skills, knowledge, and support needed to thrive in rural, critical access hospital settings. This innovative fellowship addresses the urgent need to improve maternal health outcomes in underserved regions and reduce the growing impact of maternity care deserts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fellows will thrive in full-scope rural obstetrics and gynecology practice with supportive senior clinical partners and surgical mentors. They will also receive individualized mentorship and training, drawing from the unparalleled resources of the broader UNC infrastructure. Options include training in quality improvement\/assurance, leadership development, health care finances, health equity, research in rural health outcomes, and community engagement. The program integrates clinical excellence with structured and intensive investment in the fellow\u2019s professional development so that graduates are prepared to become changemakers in rural healthcare delivery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Join us in building a stronger, more equitable future for maternal health in rural America.<\/p>\n<p>Learn more about <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/obgyn\/general-obstetrics-gynecology-and-midwifery\/\">General Obstetrics and Gynecology at UNC Health<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2\n\t         id=\"star\"\n\t         class=\"icon center fa-star\">Fellowship Curriculum<\/h2>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Fellows dedicate 50% time to individualized and supported training and 50% time to clinical activities. Fellows will have an identified primary mentor to help chart a roadmap for their 1-2 years of career development. Options can include completing a Master-level degree (e.g. MSCR) or tailored coursework in QI\/QA, community engagement, leadership, healthcare finances, equity, etc. They will have the ability to join state-wide initiatives to improve maternal health, receive research training to study rural health outcomes, or lead QI\/QA projects directly informed by their clinical practice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Clinical activities include office-based prenatal care and gynecology, gynecologic surgery, and labor and delivery coverage at a single rural healthcare site (UNC Rockingham or UNC Lenoir).<\/p>\n<h2\n\t         id=\"user-md\"\n\t         class=\"icon center fa-user-md\">Academic Framework<\/h2>\n<p>Examine the structure and content of our curriculum in greater depth &#8211;
