In addition to her clinical roles in maternal-fetal medicine and as Director of Lactation Services at UNC Hospitals, Stuebe&#8217;s research activities include exploring the role of oxytocin in women\u2019s health and postpartum depression and on developing models for holistic care of families during the 4th Trimester.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Stuebe led a revised opinion on postpartum care from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACOG) that establishes a \u201cfourth trimester\u201d of comprehensive care for new mothers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alison Stuebe, MD, MSc, a maternal-fetal medicine and breastfeeding expert in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2010, has been promoted to full professor.
