The UNC School of Medicine ranked 17th in the country in total NIH funding for 2019 and 6th among peer public universities. <a href=\"http:\/\/news.unchealthcare.org\/news\/2020\/february\/unc-school-of-medicine-nih-funding-jumps-more-than-23-million-in-federal-fy-2019\"><em>Read more<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The total dollar amount is $316,414,052, a jump of $23,404,151 from 2018. The School of Medicine has increased its NIH funding each year since 2015.
