Dr. Noor Abu-Alnadi in the UNC Health Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology was appointed as the department\u2019s Clinical\"Dr. Clerkship Director. In her new role, she will work closely with medical school students during their clerkship. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Dr. Abu-Alnadi<\/a> is a fellowship-trained Minimally Invasive gynecologic surgeon, and an avid medical educator. Dr. Abu-Alnadi’s new role as the Clinical Clerkship Director will ensure that the medical students in the application phase of their training are exposed to the breadth and depth of OBGYN during their 7-week clerkship experience.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dr. Abu-Alnadi coordinates everything from the orientation of medical students to the workings of the department, providing teaching and advising throughout their clerkship experience. She will also work with faculty and residents in the OBGYN department to ensure that provision of substantive formative feedback as well as meaningful evaluation and assessment of the medical student learners take place. “Dr. Abu-Alnadi is a consummate clinician-educator who, through having served as the associate clerkship director under Dr. Amy Bryant, will do amazing work in ensuring that medical students rotating through our various service lines receive the best education in clinical OBGYN as possible,” said Dr. Omar Young<\/a>, Vice Chair of Education in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As the Clerkship Director, she will assist fourth\u00a0year medical students who have matched into OBGYN residency programs in their transition to the residency curriculum. She will also engage in medical education research, specifically in undergraduate medical education, in conjunction with partners in the Division of Medical Education.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
