\"Dr.Hendr\u00e9e E. Jones, PhD, senior advisor of the UNC Horizons Program, has won the 2024 American Psychological Association\u2019s<\/a> Division 28 MED Associates Brady-Schuster Award. This award is given based on nominations from her peers and for making substantial contributions in the areas of scientific research, mentorship, and service in the field of addiction science.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis honor is deeply meaningful to me, given the long line of impactful mentors and field-advancing scientists who preceded me in winning this award. I am in awe and humbled to have been selected for this prestigious honor,\u201d said Dr. Hendr\u00e9e Jones.<\/p>\n

As part of her contributions to the field of addiction science, Dr. Hendr\u00e9e E. Jones organized a tour of seven substance use disorder treatment and recovery programs across Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, and North Carolina at the request of the U.S. Department of State\u2019s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs and the Colombo Plan. This tour was arranged for a ten-person delegation from Colombia, South America, representing policy, government, medical, behavioral health, and media communications. Members of the delegation were able to visit UNC Horizons, where they met with patients and staff of the program.<\/p>\n
