We are proud to recognize the work of Maternal Fetal Medicine Research Associate Professor Kristin Tully, PhD,<\/a> who has recently co\u2011authored two new peer\u2011reviewed publications. Dr. Tully\u2019s collaborative research highlights the experiences and consequences of Black women\u2019s interactions with clinicians during high\u2011risk pregnancies.<\/p>\n

The first article, published in the Women\u2019s Health Issues (WHI)<\/em> journal and titled \u201cBlack Women\u2019s Accounts of Clinician Interactions in the Context of High\u2011Risk Pregnancies,\u201d<\/strong> uses principles of relationship\u2011centered care to examine individual accounts of patient experiences with clinicians. The second article, titled \u201cPTSD\u2011Like Symptoms Among Postpartum Black Women: The Lasting Impact of High\u2011Risk Pregnancies, Birth Trauma, and Mistreatment During Perinatal Care,\u201d<\/strong> explores patients\u2019 accounts of negative perinatal care experiences in the context of high\u2011risk pregnancy.
