These years were transformative, reaffirming my commitment to teaching and advocacy, and revealing an urgent passion for comprehensive health care. Medicine was the ideal platform to address the healthcare gap that disadvantaged communities experience. In many ways, my decision to pursue the field of obstetrics and gynecology was the culmination and extension of my formative experiences in education, leadership, and team management. This field is where I feel that I can advocate for and celebrate with women in some of their most vulnerable times, while working on the daily to meet the needs of all levels of learners.<\/p>\n<h3>Why UNC?<\/h3>\n<p>One of my goals is to reduce the health care gap. At UNC, I am continuing to care for women from various backgrounds, and working with excellent clinicians to reduce disparities in care.
