I became interested in the spectrum of chronic pelvic pain, particularly endometriosis, from the pathophysiology of the disease to diagnosis and treatment. I also wanted to further develop my surgical skills in order to tackle more complex benign gynecologic cases. A fellowship in MIGS combines my academic interest in gynecologic disease and treatment with my love of being in the operating room.<\/p>\n<h3>Why UNC?<\/h3>\n<p>Returning to UNC for fellowship is like a homecoming for me, as I went to UNC for my undergraduate education. UNC MIGS is well known not only for rigorous surgical training and research but also for having an incredibly supportive, team-based environment.
