It is both a surgical specialty with primary care components and allows for great continuity of care with patients. To me, pregnancy is fascinating and requires such in-depth knowledge of multiple different specialties as well as complex physiology. This field also helps care for a uniquely important, and sometimes vulnerable, patient population and is a great field to improve upon high-quality research and policy efforts.<\/p>\n<h3>Why UNC?<\/h3>\n<p>UNC is known for its high quality clinical care as well as vast academic and research endeavors. It also holds one of the best public health schools in the country.
