About University of Navarra
The University of Navarra is private institution located in Pamplona in the North of Spain. Pamplona is a small city, very close to other large cities of the country such as Madrid, Barcelona, or Bilbao. The region is situated next to the Basque Country in the northeast of Spain; recognized for its clean-tech and biotech industry, and is globally known for its local celebrations (Sanfermines). It is one of the safest areas in Europe and one of the top-30 in terms of GDP. The city is full of students and you can easily move around by walking, by bus or bicycle. The School of Medicine has its own hospital (Clínica Universidad de Navarra) that is 100 metres far and it also has its own research centre (CIMA) also a few steps away from the school and the hospital. For more details and practical information you may consult the Clinical Rotations Guide, where those applying to Madrid will find also information on the Madrid branch.
Prerequisites
Students should have a communicative level of Spanish to completely enjoy their clinical rotations. Fourth year students with a higher level of Spanish can access other rotations in Primary Health Care Centers and regional hospitals in rural areas of Navarra. For those students with a lower level of Spanish who wish to improve their Spanish, we can recommend other OGHE programs with Spanish language classes.
