The UNC School of Medicine’s Office of International Activities develops programmatic structure, support, and engagement in global medical education for UNC medical students and resident physicians interested in global health.

Our Office

The OIA was established in 2008 to serve as the global health hub for the UNC School of Medicine.

Medical Students

We support medical students interested in global health experiences and careers.

Resident Physicians

UNC residents may apply to our Global Health Scholars Program and for funding.

IVS Program

We welcome international students in elective rotations through our International Visiting Student Program.

Go global – see where we have sent UNC students and residents and where our visiting students come from!
