Consistent with UNC System guidance (https://global.unc.edu/travel-operations/travel-policies/), medical students and residents/fellows under GME require an exemption for all UNC-affiliated global travel. OGHE fully intends to support global opportunities and we will work with you to obtain travel exemptions where it is possible and appropriate beginning January 2022. Please see under “Global Health Opportunities” for medical students or resident physicians for more information. At this time OGHE is only able to support travel exemption requests for travel of at least 4 week duration and with at least 45 days notice prior to planned departure.
For specific questions, please email Moira_rogers@med.unc.edu or martha_carlough@med.unc.edu
