GillingsX 2019 – One Health, One Gillings

GillingsX is an annual, TedX style event where students at the Gillings School of Global Public Health are able to present their internationally focused research. Reception with food from MedDeli to follow!!

This year, our theme is One Health, One Gillings to emphasize the importance of global health in all areas and fields of public health.

Speakers include:

Alan Rosenbaum: MSCR, Epidemiology speaking on Smart Ultrasounds to Save Lives in Low-Resource Settings

Sima Marzban: MPH, Public Health Leadership speaking on Lessons to be Learned from Global Healthcare Financing

Sarah Ashley: MPH, Public Health Leadership speaking on Emergency Care in East Africa: A Public Health Priority

Vorapat Vorapanya: MPH, Health Policy and Management speaking on What lies in Universal Health Care Scheme of Thailand – the truth to be told

Karen Setty: MPH, Environmental Science and Engineering speaking on Reframing surveillance could prevent drinking water problems

Esther Chung: PhD, Epidemiology speaking on The impact of grandmothers on child growth and development in rural Pakistan

In Rosenau 133 we will have 150 seats available, but there will also be an overflow room across the hall. If you are on the waiting list, please come to the event and you will be placed in this room if there is no space in Rosenau 133. The presentations are streamed into the overflow room.
