BIO:

Dr. Steven Weinberg is in the third year of his Pediatric Residency at UNC. He is a member of the UNC Office of International Activities Global Health Scholars Program.

Dr. Weinberg attended the University of Michigan where he majored in Economics and worked on a team at the  Child Health Evaluation and Research Unit studying the development and pricing of vaccines. While attending the University of Michigan Medical School he worked with faculty and partners in Ethiopia to create post-graduate medical training programs in an effort to decrease physician migration. Through the Global Health Scholars Program, he has worked with a team from the UNC Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine assessing a train-the-trainer roll out of the Helping Babies Survive programs across Ethiopia aimed at reducing neonatal mortality.
