Zainali Chunawala from Seth GS Medical College in India completed a rotation in Cardiovascular Critical Care at UNC where he worked closely with Dr. Patricia Chang in the Division of Cardiology. He received the Paul Dudley White International Scholar Award at the 2019 American Heart Association Scientific Session. Zain presented a poster for his award-winning abstract titled “Recurrent Admissions for Acute Decompensated Heart Failure Among Patients With and Without Peripheral Artery Disease: The Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities Study” (see abstract here). Zainali was also awarded the International Early Career Investigator Award.
