Dr. Kristie Hadley is a third-year emergency medicine resident at UNC. Her primary interests are refugee health, improving health disparities and addressing the evolving risks of climate change on vulnerable populations. Originally from Massachusetts, she received a BA in Sociology from Loyola University-New Orleans and attended medical school at Ben-Gurion University: Medical School for International Health in Beersheva, Israel. Supported by her mentor, Dr. Justin Myers, her project focuses on access to emergency care for Syrian refugees in Istanbul. After residency, Dr. Hadley will be entering a fellowship in Global Emergency Medicine at Columbia University where she will be pursuing an MPH and working clinically in the emergency department at New York Presbyterian.
