Dr. Amy Fowler is a UNC Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and the Ophthalmology Residency Program Director, as well as a wonderful leader and enthusiastic supporter of OIG’s efforts. She received her medical degree from the UNC School of Medicine, completed residency at the Duke University Eye Center, and was awarded a prestigious Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship at UNC.

Dr. Fowler also serves as Coordinator of Ophthalmology Education for Medical Students, directing the ophthalmology component of the Neuroscience Block and ophthalmology electives.
