About Us

The Office of Medical Student Research is committed to assisting students and their mentors to find and participate in research experiences. Through our programs and listings, students can investigate a wealth of research opportunities here at UNC or around the world. Current mentors or individuals who would like to become a mentor, can list opportunities with the Office or discover resources to help them make the most of the mentoring process.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to NIH regulations, international research will not be funded through the STRT T35 grant this year. Applications for international research are eligible to be funded with Medical Alumni funds. These slots are expected to be highly competitive, so please be aware , and be sure to concurrently pursue any other funding options for international research.
