The Bowles Fellows Program<\/h3>\n

This program provides one-year fellowships focused on community outreach activities that address alcohol-related problems and the associated needs of at-risk communities.<\/p>\nLearn More<\/a>\n

UNC Injury and Violence Prevention Research Center<\/h3>\n

This program provides $3,000 per year to support travel, conference and meeting attendance, and other professional development or training opportunities<\/p>\nLearn More<\/a>\n

Salber-Phillips Award<\/h3>\n

One or more awards of up to $1,000 are offered to UNC medical students for their work on community-oriented projects that improve the health or well-being of elderly people.<\/p>\nLearn More<\/a>\n

Lawrence Zollicoffer-Alan Cross Community Health Fellowship<\/h3>\n

This fellowship is awarded to the student who submits an outstanding proposal to undertake a community health project that focuses on the health of minority and under-served communities.<\/p>\nLearn More<\/a>\n

Scott Neil Schwirck Fellowship<\/h3>\n

This fellowship is awarded to the student who submits an outstanding research proposal that represents their curiosity, intellectual vigor, enthusiasm for science and research, and above all, a desire to help others.<\/p>\nLearn More<\/a>\n

Robert E. Bryan Fellowships<\/h3>\n

This fellowship offers funding for summer public service projects aimed toward improving the lives of North Carolinians.<\/p>\nLearn More<\/a>\n

Schweitzer Fellowships<\/h3>\n

The U.S. Schweitzer Fellows Programs provide community service fellowships for graduate students in health-related professional fields who are dedicated to addressing unmet health needs in their local areas.<\/p>\nLearn More<\/a>\n

International Opportunities<\/h3>\n

The Office of Global Health Education provides assistance to medical students planning and organizing international research, study and service projects.<\/p>\nLearn More<\/a>\n

Office of Global Health Education Internships and Funding<\/h3>\n

To give more focus to the School’s global work, we are establishing a small number of geographic hubs to increase students’ skills. For summer 2021, we are pleased to partner with UNC Global Projects Zambia, UNC School of Medicine\u2019s Office of Global Health Education and the Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases to offer up to seven placement opportunities for UNC Gillings residential MPH students and UNC School of Medicine first year students.
