Our lab studies genetic and environmental risks for autism. In addition, we study molecular and brain mechanisms that underlie pain sensation. Research includes use of CRISPR\/Cas, AAV gene therapy vectors, single cell RNA-seq, molecular biology and behavior. Our long-term goal is to uncover new treatments for chronic pain and neurodevelopmental disorders, like autism and Angelman syndrome.
