Our research group is interested in developing and applying magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologies to study brain functional circuits and networks using animal models. We also spend major effort in studying how functional MRI signal is formed. Members in our group have strong working knowledge in using cutting-edge brain recording and manipulating tools inside the high magnetic field environment, including electrophysiology, fiber photometry, fast-scan cyclic voltammetry, optogenetics, chemogenetics, and high-resolution electrical microstimulation. We also run a core facility providing various types of animal MRI data acquisition and analysis services to any users interested these technologies.
