Dr. Banna is a fellowship-trained ophthalmologist in cornea and external disease and refractive surgery. He specializes in minimally-invasive corneal transplant surgery, including DMEK and DSAEK, which are partial-thickness corneal transplant techniques that target the damaged layers of the cornea and preserve as much healthy cornea as possible. Dr. Banna also offers: 1) Advanced technology cataract surgery and premium lenses; 2) Intraocular lens implant exchange; 3) Secondary intraocular lens placement; 4) Vision correction with LASIK/PRK; 5) Pterygium surgeries with Amniotic membrane transplant; 6) Conjunctival autograft; and 7) Ocular surface tumor management. Dr. Banna’s special interest is anterior segment reconstruction, complex cataract surgeries and trauma repairs.

Dr. Banna received his medical degree from The University of Jordan in Jordan. Upon completing his residency at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar, he fulfilled a two-year fellowship in cornea, anterior segment and refractive surgery at University of Texas – Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas, TX).
