Why UNC Ophthalmology?
North Carolina has become my home, and it is such an honor to be able to treat everyone and anyone who needs help in the community, regardless of their situation. The wide variety of people in NC is one of its greatest strengths, and it is so meaningful for me to give back to this community. With that diversity also comes extensive opportunities to gain experience with a wide variety of eye conditions. On top of that, between things like the incredible wet lab, resident clinics, and VA rotations, there are also great opportunities to gain hands-on experience, take ownership of patient care, and to develop the skills that I need to become the best ophthalmologist that I can. Most importantly, everyone that I have met in the department has been so committed, approachable, and supportive. I am very excited to get to train with this cohort of amazing people.
