Read Story Filed Under: Categories: News More from Department of Ophthalmology Dr. Kathy Whitfield, Assistant Professor of Pediatric Ophthalmology, recently served as a visiting professor at the Tianjin Eye Hospital in Tianjin, China. Dr. Whitfield was also a speaker at the 2019 Tianjin International Ophthalmology Forum. Dr. Whitfield is pictured with colleague Grace Prakalapakorn, M.D., from Duke, and local ophthalmology students. Dr. Julie Skaggs of UNC Ophthalmology was welcomed by the Senior Striders of Chapel Hill to talk about preserving vision for a lifetime. Senior Striders is organized through the Orange County Department on Aging. UNC Residents Lee Moore, Ryan O’Meilia, Chris Hwang and John Deans welcome Dr. Tom Oetting, Residency Director at the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, to 2019 Residents’ Day.
