- UNC Ophthalmology Clinics are open and providing services to all patients in a safe environment. This includes services at the Kittner Eye Center in Chapel Hill, UNC Eye Holly Springs, and UNC Eye at Roxboro. We welcome all patients for routine eye exams, medical care including treatment for eye disease, surgical patients including those needing cataract surgery, contact lens evaluation and fittings, and prescription eyeglasses. Call 984-974-2020 for appointments. Call 984-974-4040 for appointments in Holly Springs. We are screening all patients and employees for symptoms of COVID-19 before entering our facilities. At this time, visitors accompanying patients will not be allowed into the clinic. Masks will be provided to patients before entering the building. You will receive a phone call from UNC Ophthalmology prior to your visit outlining our safety measures. We look forward to serving you in a safe, hygienic clinic.

- UNC Eye’s Meredith Klifto, MD receives 2020 UNC Hospitals and Faculty Physicians Award for Carolina Care Excellence. The award was given to 173 UNC Health physicians who received the highest possible rating by patients when asked if they would recommend our providers and their offices to friends and family. Congratulations Dr. Klifto!
