Charles F. Sydnor, M.D. joins UNC Eye after a long and successful tenure as a private practice physician in Burlington, NC. UNC Eye is fortunate to have Dr. Sydnor join the department and provide his expertise in managing all aspects of neuro-ophthalmology patients including double vision, acquired adult eye movement disorders, Grave\u2019s disease, neuro-ophthalmic manifestations of thyroid eye diseases, and facial dystonias.<\/p>\n

Dr. Sydnor began his private ophthalmology practice in Burlington at Alamance Eye Center in 1982. Before joining the practice, he served on the faculty of Duke University Eye Center for nine years. Dr Sydnor received his medical education at the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Duke University Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Michigan Medical Center.<\/p>\n

Dr. Sydnor has lectured extensively throughout the United States on physician practice management issues.<\/p>\n

Dr. Sydnor and his family are residents of Snow Camp. Dr. Sydnor\u2019s interest in local food systems has led to the development of Red Devon Cattle for grass fed beef. The heath benefits for raising animals on pasture are well known. The products of the farm are sold in local markets, restaurants, health food stores, and at on-farm store.<\/p>\n

Dr. Sydnor\u2019s wife, Cindy, is very active in training horses. They have two sons, one daughter, and two grandchildren.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
