Research and Education Opportunities<\/h3>\n

The UNC Department of Ophthalmology is dedicated to providing a current and comprehensive educational program to its resident physicians, fellows, and medical students. Our goal is to produce leaders in the field of ophthalmology who are medically, surgically, and culturally competent. The department will work to create an environment that fosters innovation and progress within the program through open lines of communication. We will continually strive to offer and incorporate the most innovative and medically relevant learning resources available, both within and beyond UNC borders. We will endeavor to educate our colleagues in ophthalmology and other medical fields on how to provide better eye care to our patients.<\/p>\n
