Dr. Ranjan procedural expertise in corneal transplantation, includes PK, DSEK, and DMEK. Her surgical practice additionally includes routine and complex cataract surgery, intraocular lens exchange, and complex anterior segment surgery. Dr. Ranjan\u2019s research interests are focused on the advancement of patient outcomes in corneal disease. Her primary interest is in quality improvements for corneal transplantation, with secondary interests in infectious keratitis.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_9734\" class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignright\" style=\"width: 210px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/ophth\/directory\/mohammad-soleimani-md\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-9734\" src=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/ophth\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1268\/2024\/07\/Mohammad-Soleimani.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\"><strong>Mohammad Soleimani, MD, FICO<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Professor of Ophthalmology and Cornea Fellowship Program Director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/ophth\/directory\/mohammad-soleimani-md\/\">Mohammad Soleimani, MD, FICO<\/a>, has a wide range of expertise in treating ocular disease, primarily focused on corneal disease, but also including (but not limited to) infectious keratitis, ocular trauma, and anterior segment reconstruction. Dr. Soleimani&#8217;s field of clinical experience includes keratoplasties, advanced cataract surgery, femtosecond laser-assisted surgery, ocular surface and stem cell transplantation, and refractive surgery.
