UNC Ophthalmology was prominently represented by Dr. Mohammad Soleimani, Professor of Ophthalmology and Vice Chair of Quality, who contributed significantly to this year&#8217;s program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1094\" data-start=\"733\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Dr. Soleimani led two well-attended instructional courses and sessions focusing on complex corneal infections and AI-assisted surgical planning. Notably, his course entitled, <em data-end=\"979\" data-start=\"892\">\u201cMastering Corneal Infiltrations and Infectious Keratitis after Refractive Surgeries\u201d <\/em>featured an international panel of experts and received exceptional feedback for its clinical relevance and depth.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1348\" data-start=\"1096\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">In addition to his teaching roles, Dr. Soleimani participated in expert panels, presented innovative research papers and video on artificial intelligence (A.I.) applications in corneal diagnostics, and engaged in collaborative discussions with global leaders in ophthalmology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-end=\"1385\" data-start=\"1350\"><strong data-end=\"1385\" data-start=\"1350\"><span style=\"font-size: large\">Key Highlights from ASCRS 2025:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-end=\"2795\" data-start=\"1387\">\n<li data-end=\"1695\" data-start=\"1387\">\n<p data-end=\"1695\" data-start=\"1389\"><span style=\"font-size: large\"><strong data-end=\"1433\" data-start=\"1389\">Refractive Cataract Surgery Innovations:<\/strong>\u00a0The &#8220;X-Rounds: Refractive Cataract Surgery to the Max&#8221; session featured rapid-fire presentations addressing various questions in refractive cataract surgery, with audience participation enhancing the interactive experience.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"1949\" data-start=\"1697\">\n<p data-end=\"1949\" data-start=\"1699\"><span style=\"font-size: large\"><strong data-end=\"1731\" data-start=\"1699\">High-Impact Clinical Pearls:<\/strong>\u00a0The &#8220;Get H.I.P. \u2013 Refractive&#8221; symposium offered concise, practical insights through rapid-fire video cases, providing attendees with actionable strategies to improve patient care.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"2212\" data-start=\"1951\">\n<p data-end=\"2212\" data-start=\"1953\"><span style=\"font-size: large\"><strong data-end=\"1996\" data-start=\"1953\">Ophthalmic Care in Humanitarian Crises:<\/strong>\u00a0The ASCRS Foundation symposium highlighted strategies for delivering ophthalmic care during humanitarian crises, addressing challenges and ensuring patient and physician safety.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"2475\" data-start=\"2214\">\n<p data-end=\"2475\" data-start=\"2216\"><span style=\"font-size: large\"><strong data-end=\"2247\" data-start=\"2216\">Corneal Disease Mechanisms:<\/strong>\u00a0The Richard L.
