Alexander Creighton, MD<\/p>\n<p>ROC Site Director: Edwin Cadet, MD<\/p>\n<p>Number of Fellows: Two (ACGME accredited)<\/p>\n<p>UNC Orthopaedics ACGME Program Number: 2683626133<\/p>\n<h3>Program Description:<\/h3>\n<p>The fellowship is a joint program between UNC Orthopaedics and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raleighortho.com\/\">Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic (ROC)<\/a> and will enable fellows to receive training in both an academic tertiary center and high-volume private practice. The program will graduate 2 fellows per year and it is a one-year program.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/ortho\/about-us\/directory\/faculty\/creighton\">Dr. Alex Creighton<\/a> is the Program Director, with faculty <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/ortho\/about-us\/directory\/faculty\/spang\">Dr. Jeff Spang<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/ortho\/about-us\/directory\/faculty\/kamath\">Dr. Ganesh Kamath<\/a> from the UNC School of Medicine. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raleighortho.com\/providers\/edwin-r-cadet-md\/\">Dr. Edwin Cadet<\/a> is the Site Director at the Raleigh Orthopaedic Clinic with orthopaedists <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raleighortho.com\/providers\/joseph-u-barker-md\/\">Dr. Joe Barker<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raleighortho.com\/providers\/matthew-t-boes-md\/\">Dr. Matthew T. Boes<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raleighortho.com\/providers\/g-hadley-callaway-md\/\">Dr. G. Hadley Callaway<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raleighortho.com\/providers\/david-m-dare-md\/\">Dr. Dr. David Dare<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raleighortho.com\/providers\/william-m-isbell-md\/\">Dr. Marty Isbell<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.raleighortho.com\/providers\/robert-t-wyker-md\/\">Dr. Bob Wyker<\/a>.\u00a0 Jennifer Griffin is the Program Coordinator.\u00a0 Athletic team coverage includes UNC, NC State, Shaw University, and area high schools.<\/p>\n<h3>Clinical Experience:<\/h3>\n<p>The goal of the fellowship is to prepare our fellows to be excellent clinicians and surgeons in the expanding field of orthopaedic sports medicine with emphasis on sports injuries and surgery of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Arthroscopic and open surgery, including shoulder arthroplasty<\/li>\n<li>Athletic training room and game\/event management<\/li>\n<li>Prevention and rehabilitation<\/li>\n<li>Exercise and sports science knowledge and performance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Research Experience:<\/h3>\n<p>The fellows will be provided on average one day per week of protected research time.
