Speaker Biography<\/strong><\/p>\nDr. Shenvi is a board-certified, practicing Emergency Physician with a passion for education and professional development. She received her bachelor\u2019s degree from Princeton University, her PhD from UC-Berkeley, and her MD from Yale. She completed residency in Emergency medicine (EM) and fellowship training in geriatric EM at UNC and has stayed on faculty at UNC since then. She currently serves as Director of the UNC Office of Academic Excellence as well as president of the Association for Professional Women in the Medical Sciences. Dr. Shenvi also serves on the leadership council of the UNC Academy of Educators, where she co-created the FLAGship program for junior faculty development. She was the Associate Residency Director for EM at UNC for 7 years. She co-directs the national teaching fellowship for the American College of Emergency Physicians targeted towards junior faculty development in education, and has received numerous national and UNC teaching awards.<\/p>\n
