His clinical interests and expertise include pediatric hand and upper limb trauma, brachial plexus birth injury, congenital hand differences, and patient-reported outcomes measurement. He also runs a basic science laboratory investigating the neurological control of postnatal muscle growth, aiming to develop novel physiological treatments for neuromuscular contractures. He completed his undergraduate education at Stanford University, medical school at Columbia, orthopaedic residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, hand fellowship at Harvard, and pediatric orthopaedic fellowship at the Children\u2019s Hospital of Philadelphia. He has five sons, including two sets of twins, and he enjoys mountaineering, gymnastics, and writing heavy metal music.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Accreditation Statement<\/strong><br \/>\nThe School of Medicine of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Credit Statement<\/strong><br \/>\nThe School of Medicine of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill designates this live activity for a maximum of 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)\u2122.
