DESCRIPTION:The Women’s Health Multidisciplinary Consortium cordially invites you to join us at this month’s Hot Topic Seminar\, titled “Love Shouldn’t Hurt: Consequences of Intimate Partner Violence.” This seminar is on October 18th from 3-4pm at Bondurant G100 and on Zoom and is held in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month\, with the goal of highlighting current UNC research on interpersonal violence. \n  \nOur fantastic speakers are: \n  \nJohna Register-Mihalik\, PhD\, LAT\, ATC  \nAssociate Professor in the Department of Exercise and Sport Science\, Core Faculty with Matthew Gfeller Center and the Injury Prevention Research Center \n  \nTalk Title: “Implications of Traumatic Brain Injury: What Sometimes Seems ‘Invisible’ Can Be Life Altering” \n  \nand   \n  \nShabbar Ranapurwala\, PhD\, MPH\, BHMS \nAssociate Professor in Epidemiology\, Core Faculty with the Injury Prevention Research Center \n  \nTalk Title: “Saving Time and Delivering Justice: Evaluations of E-Filling of Domestic Violence Protective Orders in NC” \n  \n  \nThis event will be a hybrid seminar at Bondurant G100 and on Zoom (information below)\, though in-person attendance is encouraged for robust discussion and a chance to meet others who work in women’s health.
