Taylor Dismuke is a doctoral student under Timothy Gershon MD, PhD, where her studies focuses on improving current chemotherapeutics and drug delivery to pediatric brain tumors in a preclinical genetic mouse model. A native of Oklahoma City, in 2015, Ms. Dismuke received her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Langston University, a historical black university in Oklahoma. In May of 2017, she also earned her Master’s in Science in Biochemistry at Texas State University (San Marcos, TX) as a Bridge to Doctorate Scholar. Her current future career aspirations are to continue research discovery in the industrial field, while aiding in program development for diversity recruitment and mentorship in the STEM field.
