To train pathologists to be competent, independently-practicing pathologists in all areas of pathology (anatomic and clinical), to give trainees the foundation to seek further specialization in any areas of pathology they may choose and to be competitive in securing fellowship training, to expose trainees to state of the art research techniques and support trainees in their research projects and scholarly activities, to teach trainees to be effective educators, give trainees the tools to be effective members and leaders of healthcare teams and to facilitate trainees developing the skills for life-long learning.<\/p>\n
