The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine is dedicated to delivering exceptional diagnostic services that form the foundation of patient care at UNC Health and beyond. Our faculty and staff work collaboratively across clinical teams to provide accurate, timely, and comprehensive laboratory results that guide diagnosis, treatment, and disease management.<\/p>\n

Through our Clinical Divisions<\/a>, we offer specialized expertise in every area of pathology\u2014from surgical and molecular diagnostics to microbiology and transfusion medicine. Each division plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality testing and consultation that supports patients across all stages of care.<\/p>\n

Our partnership with McLendon Clinical Laboratories <\/a>extends this commitment by providing state-of-the-art laboratory testing and innovation. McLendon\u2019s team of highly trained professionals performs millions of tests annually, combining precision, efficiency, and compassion in service to patients and healthcare providers.<\/p>\n
