Craig Fletcher, DVM, PhD, Professor and Vice Chair in the UNC School of Medicine\u2019s Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Director of the Division of Comparative Medicine, Assistant Dean of Animal Research Resources, and Associate Vice Chancellor of Research, will deliver this year\u2019s Norma Berryhill Distinguished Lecture.<\/p>\n

Please mark your calendars for the lecture, which will be held virtually on Thursday, November 18th. The event will open at 3:45 p.m. with the lecture scheduled to commence at 4:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

About the Berryhill Lecture:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Norma Berryhill Distinguished Lecture began in 1985. Established to honor the medical school\u2019s \u201cmost able scientists and scholars,\u201d the lectureship is named after the late Norma Berryhill, whose late husband, Dr. Walter Reece Berryhill, was dean of the school from 1941 to 1964. Along with her husband, she is considered the co-founder of UNC\u2019s four-year School of Medicine. While honoring an eminent member of the School of Medicine faculty, the Norma Berryhill Distinguished Lecture series serves as an occasion to welcome new faculty members in an academic convocation and to further the sense of community created and nurtured by Mrs. Berryhill.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
