Grand Rounds: Fran Schindler, RN, BSN – Existential Angst and The Practicalities of ‘Getting Dead’

Presenter:  Fran Schindler, RN, BSN

Title:    “Existential Angst and The Practicalities of ‘Getting Dead’”

Bio:  Fran has thirty + years of experience in Nursing. Including United States Air Force Nurse Corps, George AFB California and Eglin AFB Florida, in patient adult and out-patient clinic Nursing.  Also experience in Pediatric Clinic Triage and Diabetes Education. Major area of Nursing Practice: Psychiatry to include substance abuse detox and treatment as well as in patient- eating disorders treatment. Retired in 1999 after working on the Psychotic Disorders Unit at UNC Hospital Chapel Hill, NC.

Previous member of the Hemlock Society and Compassion and Choices.

Volunteer with FEN over the past 10 years as: East Coast Regional Coordinator, Senior Exit Guide, Member of the training committee and Speakers Bureau.
