Bio: Meghan Sheehan is originally from Texas and attended undergrad at Baylor University. She studied psychology and forensic science. She went on to get her masters of science in Forensic Science in Nebraska. After working in the field for several years, she decided to return to Texas for medical school at Texas Tech. Throughout her education, Meghan spent a great deal of time working with women, and their children, in shelters. She helped women through abuse, mental illness, addiction and childbirth and parenting issues. This fed her desire to pursue a residency in psychiatry with a focus on perinatal psychiatry. She completed residency at UNC, and in doing so, broadened the horizons of her interests to encompass all of consult liaison psychiatry. She is currently completing her fellowship in CL psychiatry.
