The UNC Palliative Care Program was founded in 2001 and was expanded to include the Children\u2019s Supportive Care Team in 2012. Members of the Program work at the University of North Carolina, UNC Hospitals, and the UNC Health System.<\/p>\n<h3>Get to Know UNC Palliative Care and Hospice<\/h3>\n\n<!-- iframe plugin v.5.2 wordpress.org\/plugins\/iframe\/ -->\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/JADxTbgvUKI?si=peswZyj7Kjth6_nN\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" 0=\"allowfullscreen\" scrolling=\"yes\" class=\"iframe-class\"><\/iframe>\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Program welcomes health care professionals, researchers and staff who work collaboratively on activities in support of our mission. Core clinical activities include hospital-based consultation for adults and children with serious illness and palliative care services in oncology and general medicine clinics.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, we support fellowship training for physicians in Hospice &amp; Palliative Medicine, and educational opportunities for students and trainees in medicine, advanced nursing, and pharmacy.
