Pediatric Schwartz Center Rounds are a multidisciplinary forum where pediatric clinical caregivers discuss social and emotional issues that arise in caring for patients and families. Benefits to caregivers attending these rounds with some regularity include greater insight into emotional aspects of practicing medicine, improved communication with patients, families and team members, and decreased stress and burnout. At the North Carolina Children’s Hospital, this forum is led by Dr. Mary Beth Grimley of Psychology, and the physician leaders are Drs. Afsaneh Pirzadeh and Benny Joyner from Pediatric Critical Care, and Dr. Elisabeth Dellon, Director of the Pediatric Supportive Care service. A more thorough description can be found here:
