She is in the HPM doctoral program at the UNC Gillings School of Public Health, and MD candidate at UNC School of Medicine. She received her B.S. from North Carolina State University. Her interests are in patient-provider communication, online health information, sexual and reproductive health, ethics, and equity. Clinically, she is a Child Abuse pediatrician, specializing in the evaluation and care of children who have suffered abuse or neglect. Her research focuses on mechanisms to prevent child abuse. Specifically, Dr. Schilling studies the impact parenting programs can have increasing parental self-efficacy, effectiveness, and reducing severe discipline and abuse.<\/p>\n<\/div>    \n<\/li>
