Courtney, originally from Chapel Hill, NC, obtained her undergraduate degree at UNC studying Anthropology and Psychology before attending the UNC School of Medicine. Courtney is one of only a few select students who completed her 3rd year in the longitudinal clinical program in Asheville, NC. While in medical school, Courtney has been an active and vibrant member of her educational and patient care community serving as a volunteer at UNC Hospice, participating in the Healer’s Art and having served as a mentor for High School Students in the Project Promise, funded by the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship. Courtney truly enjoys sewing, painting, and baking as well as outdoor pursuits concluding hiking and camping. She will be joined by her fiancé James Rogers who matched in the Medicine Residency program.
