Research

Dr. Wu is actively engaged in both clinical and translational research projects that involve a spectrum of diseases that affect the immune system. A primary research interest is the role of complement in autoimmune disease. She collaborates with the UNC Kidney Center to study complement activation in ANCA (antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody) vasculitis and further understand its clinical applications in this rare condition. She also works with the Genetic Disorders of Mucociliary Clearance Consortium to identify markers that will help distinguish primary ciliary dyskinesia from other primary immunodeficiencies.
