Research

Dr. Retsch-Bogart’s research focuses on cystic fibrosis (CF). His research interests include identifying new options for treatment of CF, such as the development of Cystic Fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) modulator therapies aimed at specific CF gene variants, antimicrobial agents, and nucleic acid-based therapies for those who do not tolerate or have CF gene variants responsive to modulator therapies. He also seeks to improve CF newborn screening algorithms and processes to ensure the timeliness of CF diagnosis.
