Dr. Winstead’s research interests include pediatric bone marrow and stem cell transplantation. He also specializes in hemoglobin disorders, such as sickle cell disease. In particular, his research focuses on examining immune function after stem cell transplantation (SCT) and the impact of T-cell recovery on quality of life and graft-versus-host disease (GVHD).
