Gretter Benitez, MD

Gretter was born in Cuba, and grew up in Miami FL. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida with a degree in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience. The story of her journey to the United States from Cuba as a young child is incredible! Growing up bilingual, she created a Spanish language curriculum at her home institution to help care for the rising Latinx population, and working with patients with eating disorders. She also started a book club and was named student of the year in a peer election. She and her husband have already surveyed the local Durham food scene! Hobbies/Interests: reading, skincare, walks and playing with her dog, cooking new meals and watching international films
