Sarah’s original hometown is Simpsonville, SC. She completed her undergraduate work at Clemson University in Bioengineering with a Biomaterial Concentration. She traveled to the Amazon River during medical school and gained a greater appreciation for the importance of having a large scope of practice when serving developing countries. She has always been drawn to the field of cardiology, due in part to the use of engineering principles to diagnose and treat patients. She has had the pleasure to live in France for 3 years and travel to Europe and provided medical relief in Tanzania, Peru and Nicaragua. The woven grass neck brace she created is of particular interest. Hobbies/Interests: crossFit, hiking with her fiancé and terrier-mix Crosby (yes- the band), water-ski, kayak, wakeboard and scuba dive.
