I was born in Prague but raised in beautiful, warm Egypt. I graduated and completed a Pediatric residency at the School Of Medicine at Ain Shams University in Egypt. During residency, I received a Master\u2019s Degree in exploring the adrenal reserve in children with tuberculosis which prompted my passion for Pediatric Endocrinology.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/article>\n\n

Dr. Henin presented his work during an oral podium presentation at the 10th International Joint Meeting of the Pediatric Endocrine Society in 2017. In addition, he won the Jud Van Wyk Award for Outstanding Scholarship in Basic Science Research at the annual UNC Thomas F. Boat Day of Scholarship.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/article>\n\n

I was excited about learning how to design and conduct translational research that may impact patient care. I have valued my time at UNC and know that my first-rate training and mentorship have me ever-ready for my first faculty position as an assistant professor of pediatrics at The University of Tennessee College of Medicine Chattanooga \u2013 Erlanger Children\u2019s Hospital.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/article>\n\n

I began my pediatric endocrinology fellowship training in July 2012 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC). My goal was to develop a strong knowledge base and outstanding clinical skills to become a successful academic pediatric endocrinologist. In addition, I was enthusiastic about learning how to effectively design and conduct clinical research to impact patient care.
